How it works
Enter width, aspect ratio, and rim diameter for both the stock tire and the new tire. The calculator finds each overall diameter, the circumference, and the actual speed when the gauge shows 40 mph.
Overall diameter = rim diameter + 2 × sidewall. Sidewall = tire width × aspect ratio. Speedometer error scales with new diameter ÷ stock diameter.
